Hit. Run. Slide.

Hey all it's Lilly here. :) I had a softball game today, and I have one later, too! We won 11-10, and I scored two runs! But anyways, I was up to bat, and my coach showed my the bunt signal (we have signals so the other team doesn't know what we're doing), so the pitcher wound up, and threw the ball. I hit bunted it right to the ground, and bolted towards first base. My coach always says not to look at the ball, but run as fast as you can. And that's exactly what I did! I was running so fast, that,... I tripped over the first baseman's foot (or leg, I don't really know), and I went FLYING. Ligit flying. Hang time.. probably a second ahaha. :) Like superman I flew through the air, and when I finally touched the ground, I was skidding on the dirt/rocks. It hurt SO bad. I hate crying in front of people, and I was trying to act all tough, so I quickly got up and then stumbled back down. My left thigh hurt really bad, that was where I had hit the first baseman. & then came the beautiful display of waterworks.... :P I told my coach I was alright, and I tried to stop the flowing of tears, and the girl at 1st was saying sorry over and over again. I told her it was alright, and that it wasn't her fault. It hurt to stand but I did anyways. I got back on base and regained my breath. The worst part of falling was that I was out. I fell and got all bruised and scraped up for nothing! Wow! But we ended up winning (11-10 ^^) and I was glad! I have another game in a couple of hours, and then my team is coming over to swim! Ahhh this is going to be fun!
